At the heart of our youth work in Suffolk is a team of experts and people wanting to make a real difference in the lives of the people we serve. Let’s MEET THE TEAM…

How to Use

Using Units

• Use EM for Padding, Margin, Width, Height, Transforms, & Font Sizes
• Use PX only for things that won't break the design if they don't scale such as border widths & drop-shadow distances
• Use % (optional) for columns inside containers

Scaling

• On tablet and below, change the body font size to PX or higher VW number
• On desktop, the design will scale up seamlessly. It will stop scaling when it reaches the max width of 1440px.
• There is no need to add larger breakpoints

Come in, hang out and have some fun! For anyone who isn’t sure what we are on about, Drop In is essentially our version of a youth club.  Drop In runs every week and is a great way of meeting new friends and finding new passions… and it is totally free! Drop In is your space. Whether you want to chill and chat with your friends, play computer games or do something more active or creative, we aim to provide a space for you to just be you. Drop In takes place in our youth hall which has everything you need.  There are comfy sofas, games, computers, pool, table tennis, air hockey, and sometimes you can even use our recording studio. Our team of youth workers are there to support you, whether you are in the mood for a quiet bit of nail painting or if you want help arranging a massive game of dodgeball! And if it hasn’t been your day, our team are also trained and equipped to talk you through any issues, questions, challenges or worries you might be facing.

We see a future in which young people are change makers, with clear confident voices that are heard above the noise. A future in which any young person from any background can grow and flourish to become their best selves. In that future they exercise both their rights and responsibilities and invest their lives in building strong communities. We walk together with young people as trusted partners who support, guide, inspire and empower them with that future in mind. We are the Mix.

What’s a Rich Text element?

This is a subheading and where it goes in the document flow

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content. A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Our Trustees

We have thriving trustee board at The Mix, which acts as the governing body for the charity. Alongside the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) trustees have responsibility for ensuring The Mix is well run and delivers our vision to make a positive difference to the lives of young people.  Our trustees have a range of backgrounds; they are all people who are genuinely passionate about supporting the different needs of local young people and facilitating their journey through to adult independence.

Trustees are collectively responsible for:
- Maintaining a strategic view of how The Mix delivers its vision and having oversight of the charity’s operational activities.
- Ensuring that our vision and values are consistently applied across the organisation.
- Safeguarding and protecting our beneficiaries who are young people, as well as our staff and volunteers from harm.
- Providing direction and oversight of the commercial activities of the charity that take place through our trading subsidiary.
- Understanding and scrutinising the management of the charity’s finances, accounts, and other resources.
- Promoting and championing the work of The Mix in the local area and across Suffolk.
