Back to school doesn't mean the fun is over! Our weekly drop-in sessions for the coolest young people aged 11-18 in Stowmarket and Needham Market are back in action. Don't miss out, follow our updates on Instagram @themixstowmarket or @openaccessatthemix.
July and August were an absolute blast! We hosted an action-packed summer program featuring self-defence classes, graffiti art, rock climbing, cinematic adventures, sports showdowns, and so much more.
Over the summer break, we didn't stop - we ran an incredible 34 sessions, spanning Needham Market and Stowmarket, adding up to a whopping 113 hours of thrilling activities for our young people.
How did we come up with all these amazing ideas, you ask? Our young community heroes spoke up at our Mixed Views event in March. Nearly 400 young voices shared their thoughts about their communities, support networks, and what they'd love to see at The Mix.
Head over to our website www.themixstowmarket.org/blog for the full Mixed Views report.
But that's not all! The Mix isn't just about summer fun; we're on a mission all year round. The Mix works with over 300 young people each month across the county. We've got two awesome youth hubs in Stowmarket and Needham Market, and we're making waves in three local secondary schools and a dozen primary schools, reaching out to more than 2,000 young people annually.
Whilst we are proud of the difference we have made over the past 10 years, we know we must continue to grow and evolve if we are to meet the future need in our community.
We provide a whole range of activities and programmes for young people, and guess what? They're all FREE! Yep, you heard it right:
